Why do the colors on my yarn look different than the posting?

We do our absolute best to properly represent the colors of our yarns on our listings.  However, due to inconsistency in computer monitor composition and settings, what you see on your screen may not be what we are seeing on ours.

Additionally, we post photos of sample skeins on our listings, but the small batch dying that we specialize in creates similar yet unique results each and every time.  This variation results in special color distributions on our yarns which we love.

If what you receive is not to your liking, please note that we accept refunds for 100% of the paid price (including shipping) for up to 14 days after delivery has been made.

 Why do my skeins look different from one another?

A slight color difference between each skein is a feature of our yarns that we embrace.  We dye or skeins in small batches to a set formula and process.  The formula and process allow us to achieve very similar results while dying in small batches allows each skein to have its own unique character.

We also dye to order multiple skeins of the same colorway to ensure as much consistency as possible.  But there is a chance that you will notice a slight difference between skeins of the same colorway if ordered at different times.

 Is color bleeding normal?

Not common, but color bleeding may occur when washing.  Very rich and/or dark colorways are the most likely to bleed for the first few washes, so be sure to wash your finished products individually or with like colors.  I also recommend using cold water, washing by hand if possible, and using a wash specially created for animal fibers, such as Unicorn Clean or Eucalan.

Color bleeding while working with our yarns should never happen.  If you notice color bleeding while knitting or crocheting please contact us.

RETURNS

Do you accept returns?

Yes, for 14 days after receipt.  We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase, so if anything is off please let us know and we’ll do our best to correct it so you can cast on ASAP. 

SHIPPING

 When will my order ship?

Most orders will ship within 3 - 5 business days.  All orders will ship within 10 days unless otherwise specified in store announcements or on the product page.  You will receive a conformation email with USPS tracking number when your order is mailed. 

When will my order arrive?

Most US domestic orders will arrive within 6 - 8 business days from the day of order.  All US domestic orders should arrive within 14 business days, depending on when processing has been completed.

International orders should arrive within 4 – 6 weeks.

We do not offer rush orders as an add-on service, but if you need something rushed please send us a note (via the Contact page) with your order number (you can find it on your emailed receipt) and we'll do everything within our power to accommodate your request.

Unfortunately the mail service can be impacted by many factors out of our control.  But, if you are concerned about your package, please contact us and we’ll do our best to track it down and give you a more precise ETA.

Can I track my order once mailed?

Yes, but only for as long as the package is in the US.  All orders are mailed via USPS and a tracking number will be sent to your email once the post office starts your shipment.  For international orders, once the package leaves the US tracking is no longer available via USPS.  (However, we have heard that www.packagetrackr.com offers pretty reliable information for international mail tracking).

Please note that if you’re package is either lost or delayed you as the receiver are responsible for filing a claim.  But please let us know if you are concerned about your delivery and we will do whatever we can to assist.

 Is my order insured?

US orders come with $50 of mail insurance.

Insurance is not available for international orders.

Where are you located?

Wanderlust Hues is located in Huntington Beach, California.  Surf City USA offers a fantastic color palette to inspire us (and the beach breeze is perfect for drying too).

Do you go to all of the places you create colorways for?

I WISH!  Our first collections are based off of our own travel experiences, but we also pull inspiration from conducting research on places we wish we could go.

Can I request a special colorway?

Yes.  If you aren’t finding what you’re looking for please feel free to send us a message via our Contact page and we’ll be happy to discuss pulling together something extra special just for you.

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Beginning June 2017, Wanderlust Hues will offer wholesale pricing to retail stores.  Please send us a note from our Contact page if you are interested in being added to our wholesale catalog distribution list.

Do you trade with other makers?
